As an adult I’ve lost to motivation to keep a proper sketch book. The kind of book that you carefully maintain and preserve as a sort of creative journal. It feels too formal for me. If I ever do sketch I like to do it on random sheets of paper, newspapers, or cheap books. It is very comforting and free not worrying about fucking things up. I like the used and abused look. The I’m having fun and don’t give a fuck attitude on paper…

Awesome sketches! I feel the same way, can’t produce great in a sketch book. Feels too proper.

i gave up on a proper blackbook a while back, the closest ive come is sticking in all the little random sketches i do and collect, some of the best sketches ive done have been on random peices of paper ive found, its like the first lines of marking up a peice without emulsion, which are normaly my favorite
