Immediately following Mexico, I went out to Keystone and Denver, Colorado with REVOK and The Seventh Letter. Not really prepared for low to single digit temperatures, it was a fun but painful challenge trying to paint outside…

There was a very, very ugly character under those crew letters above.

While doing a signing in Mexico City I noticed a uniformed police officer in the crowd watching and taking a bunch of pics of me with his phone…

While signing dozens of books, shirts, hats and such, I was approached by this cop and asked if I could tag his undershirt. Be began to remove his uniform, bulletproof vest and such but asked that I tag on him inside and out of sight from the street corner cameras…

Not sure what more I can say about this. All I know is that I never would’ve thought this would happen if you asked me 20 years ago.

Photos from a quick stint in wild ass Mexico.

Party hardy…

Mexico City is full of panhandlers and street light performers. At a red light the old lady in the picture below, threw a piece of cardboard out into the middle of the street. She then did a spin and landed on top of the cardboard, backside down. Her granddaughter then ran out into the street and grabbed her grandmother’s hands and performed a series of somersaults. Considering how typical the two looked it seemed quite odd…

HAND PAINTED ADS – MEXICO CITY

One of the first things I noticed in Mexico City was the high amount of hand painted ads along the major highways and avenues throughout the city. Fonts and Logos that aim to effectively catch your eye while driving past, made with brush and acrylic based paint. The painted ads advertise anything from events, businesses, or people. Repetition and size in the best spots make it easily relatable as a graffiti writer.
